Well, didn't take'em long to push another round of free (not!) money at us. St. Patty's day will see the latest cash bonanza funneled into to my savings account. It will join the first two payoffs. I can't tell you about what else was pushed out by those folks for obvious reasons but, if you were paying attention, you know what I'm talking about. I won't be spending this check either but, it has occurred to me that my reason for keeping this money is feeble and that's all I will say about that.

Per information this morning, Queenie's Father has his stimulus check deposited already. I checked our account out of curiosity. No stimulus, but our IRS tax refund is now in our account as pending.

I didn't, and still don't, deserve to be stimulated, nor do I desire it. I am thus spared the guilt of receiving and spending money that doesn't exist. My wife on the other hand, being a SDI recipient, received stimulating news yesterday. She doesn't need it either and will bear the guilt by chunking it into her retirement account.

I'm spending my stimulus money on stimulated alligator trollop sticks (both sizes).

Being retired, the wife and I will receive $2800. I’ll take it as I fully expect my money will be worth $2800 less in spending power this year.

Mine is pending for the 17th. It's going to a contractor who is working on my waterfall in the back yard.

Feel free to talk about the stimulus check. Keep the political opinion out of it and it’ll be fine.
Unlocking this thread to try again.

It's my money and I want it now.
We are both getting a check owing to our impoversihed retiremant status.
One of our checks goes to new tires for my wife's 2018 Highlander. The other check is going to a local fund to help out those who suffered losses from the Almeda Fire in Ashland, Phoenix, and Talent Oregon last Sept. (5 miles from us) My nephew and wife lost their home and everything in it including tools, guitars, cars the whole enchilada. They were well insured so ok financially. I gifted him tools and a guitar.. he's ok his wife is ok.
My suggestion is if you don't need the (soon to be taxed to pay for it) bail out, consider helping someone out.

Have not received it yet but spent half of it on a 2012 American vintage Thin Line Telecaster. Now I am being stimulated by a nice sounding guitar!

Doesn't seem too popular at Moe's... but, this is a fortunate community with lots of retirees and nest eggs, where the big financial decisions are about how many guitars to buy this month.
Ironically, mine will spend some time in my checking account and go right back out to pay... income taxes. I'm one of the lucky ones that doesn't need it for food or rent. Still, it is going to be a very big deal for me. It'll help keep me out of the borrow-to-survive way of life.
If anyone feels undeserving, remember that charities exist, as well as hungry and struggling neighbors.

I'm not eligible, but I'm going to spend it anyway! I sent my wife for an afternoon at the spa last Saturday, I splurged on a very expensive pour of Pappy while we were out that night. I ordered some upgrades for the brewery. That'll about cover the money we would have gotten if we were eligible I think.

No stimmy here but I’m 100% equities other than EF so I hope to see some benefits anyway. Maybe I’ll cancel a streaming service and eat rice and beans 5x a week instead of 3x to make up for it.. buy away America!

I never got mine from round 2, We'll see what happens this time around. Neither did we, and we are 100% for sure qualified for it. Morons. Have to declare it on my taxes. Probably the same deal on this new one, won't get it until next year then. PISS ME OFF!

I'm pretty sure you don't have to declare the stimulus money on your taxes.

That’s correct. Tax preparation software "asked" if I'd received stimulus payments. The only declaration I had to make, though, on the I.R.S. form(s) was that YES, I did receive the previous amounts. No tax due involved, though (for me, at least)

The only reason you are asked is so the software can apply to receive it if you haven’t. Nobody is taxed on a stimulus payment.

It should be one at 1400$, you should have gotten one for 600$ already if you qualified.
