This Friday 3/19, the duo that I'm in will be performing at a local brewery that opened up here, last year. This place is *the* happening place in our small town, on weekends. It's always packed.
Teresa sings, I play electric guitar, and the Trio+ is doing all the rest of the work. Yes, it has taken a lot of practice! I'm guessing, but I think we've been together close to 3 years and we've only played out twice during that time. Partly due to Covid 19, of course.
They say that the Trio+ wasn't designed for live performances, but we've managed to make it work for us. It takes some creativity, plus the FS3X footswitch for starting/stopping drums/bass during the song....and as I mentioned, a lot of practice! But we are making it work for us...."Dave" the drummer always plays at the right speed, and "Bob" the bass player....well, he still doesn't practice often enough, but we don't have to put up with his weird personality, either.
Seriously, we're both looking forward to finally having a big crowd, that we believe will appreciate what we've put together!

Yes, good luck, and report back with your thoughts on how it worked out please. Thanks! I sure will. We know we will have a few "glitches", but we just blame it on either Bob or Dave.

Poor Bob and Dave! Don't kick them out of the band just yet, they might do really well. ; ) I'm sure you and Teresa will have a blast!!! Rock On!

Good luck. Don't let opening night jitters affect your foot switch prowess..

It went pretty well last night. We had a few glitches, of course. But laughed them off like we always do, and blamed it on Bob.
We made almost as much in tips as we were paid to play, so that was an added plus. I can't say we held the crowd as well as I hoped, but they were appreciative while they were there. Teresa had a group of friends at a large table in front of us, and they left around 9:00 and that seemed to start the exodus, there weren't a lot of people left when we finished at 10:00. Disappointing, but we had fun anyway, and ended with a couple of our best songs; maybe we should have played them earlier, I don't know.
Overall, successful but not quite as fulfilling as I hoped.

Thanks for the update. So the Trio + works in a live situation for you?

Thanks for the update. So the Trio + works in a live situation for you? We haven't made it easy on ourselves. We have songs that have 5 sequences, and they have to be played the same way every time in order for the sequences to work. We have been practicing and adding new songs for over 2 years now. We start most songs with a 4 click intro to get the tempo established, and since I'm starting the pedal with my right hand, I need time to get ready to play, after the 4 clicks. I could have Teresa start the songs with the pedal, but then we'd have to start at exactly the same time, in most cases. There are other ways to start the pedal, like with the FS3X, but then I wouldn't have the option of muting either the bass, the drums, or both, and I really need that option on several of the songs we're doing. Pride & Joy, for example. So, it's not easy, and has taken a lot of practice. But we split the money two ways instead of four. Simpler songs would be much easier to play with the Trio+.

Simpler songs would be much easier to play with the Trio+. Do those and kick some butt! Keep on doing what you're doing though and have fun! I'm a true believer that the talent will show and get better the more yall play.

Thanks zenland!!! We have another gig coming up in a few weeks, it'll be totally different than this one. Larger room, we can crank it up a little, etc!

Congratulations on the gig. Sadly isn't it the truth that as soon as folks up front get up to leave that seems to be a signal to the rest of the crowd that its time to move along. I always hope others move up to fill those seats a tables, but human nature is hard to explain sometimes.
