Just picked up a Yamaha MODX7. Wow this thing is nice! Lightweight, too! It has the same sound engine as the top of the line Montage and can also load sounds from most of the Motif and MO synthesizers. My old S90 is really starting to get a little long in the tooth and I really wanted something lighter (no more weighted action for me) and easier to haul around. This unit is light enough that I can easily set it on top of the Hammond without a two-tier stand, too. I'll see you all in about 6 months or so when I finally figure out how program it.

Congrats on the MODX7, I almost went for that one, but chose the Roland Juno DX76. It was a photo finish, but I felt the MODX7 was a little overwhelming for a beginner like me.

Fantastic! As a drummer; I'm not that familiar with the Yamaha MODX7 or it's programing; but if you like it, that's great. And speaking unofficially for the "Clamfest" Roadies; if it's lighter, and doesn't need wheels; make sure you bring it to the next jam. (When we have one) ??

Heck yeah! I'll look forward to hearing it at the next Jersey Jam!
