So I’ve been lamenting about one of my favorite amps that I had to sell due to a financial issue many moons ago. I used to have a 59 bassman reissue that I had for a long time. By far the best amp I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning. Well I checked Guitar Center Used section and guess what? They had one used for a really great price. Looks like I’m back in tweed again. I’ll report back when I get it later next week . GC used has some great prices on stuff.

Nice one. The Singer/ guitarist from my old originals band had one. He played a Tele through it. It only had one sound, but what a glorious sound it was

Thanks. I had one from the 90s that needed some work . It had a blown speaker and the tweed was in rough shape. Brought it back to life , cleaned , repaired and lacquered the tweed , put sommJAN Phillips WGBs in it and I ended gigging with it for a number of years. It is was a great amp . I expect similar results from this one as well.

I was thinking of all the Fender amps I have had over the years. I’ve had several versions of blues jars, a 68 Princeton custom , a 77;super reverb, 2 versions of the hot rod deluxe , a blues deluxe , a 59 bassman ri , a couple of 65 deluxe reverb reissues (one I still have) and now a 59 bassman ri LTD . Still room for others !

The singer/harp player in one of my old bands blew through one of those with a reverb tank in front. Holy moly, that combo sounded like you were about to be t-boned by a Mack truck.
