UFO's

I have seen 2 "UFO's" in the past 3 weeks.
I saw the first one when I went out on our patio to take a break from work - it was around noon. It looked like a multi-colored inner tube or baby pool...but it wasn't like there was a huge gust of wind and this thing was blowing around near the ground. It up there about as high as a hawk cruises around...it just floated by...nothing really technological-looking about it. It just looked like a decent sized, colorful baby pool.
The other one was on Sunday when I went to the park to hit some golf balls. Far out in the distance was an object in the air. I thought it was an airplane or jet...but it wasn't moving - it was just sitting there.
...and in a flash it was gone (I didn't see it leave). But I did get my phone out to take some pics. It only showed up in 1 pic (the one that wasn't magnified) and it just looks like a dot.
Maybe it was a drone...or maybe it was a plane traveling straight away from me, so it looked like it wasn't moving and then disappeared into a cloud.
just sayin'
...I really don't believe that ET's exist.

Years ago when I worked graveyard shift on patrol, the predawn hours would sometimes find a few of us in the Superior Court parking lot adjacent to the station. 1 can of Sterno + box of trash bags = hot air UFO's drifting over the surrounding neighborhood. In this manner we would torture the deputies stuck working the desk, as the inevitable "sightings" were phoned in. The crop circle of life.

We used to make what we called "fire balloons" when I was a kid. Take a full newspaper sheet, bring the 4 corners to together and twist with a bit of spit.
Then lay it on the ground with the spit ball on the bottom and light the 4 corners. As it burns, it turns to a smoldering ash shell and floats into the air. On a cool, calm day they'll go 50' up and the edges glow.

when I was a teenager on a particularly clear night I saw a light zig zig across the sky, but it was way, way up there. nothing I know could make those kind of sharp turns that quickly.

As an AF flyer with more than 15,000 hours poking holes in clouds, I have seen things neither I nor my compadres could identify. Did I think they were alien spacecraft? No. They were unidentified objects. Too many people associate "UFO" with little green men. The recent 'Navy Pyramid UFO' story is hilarious. It's a triangle. Pyramids are three-dementia-nal objects, ye moron! And it's not even a triangle...it's an out of focus light source (Navy jet) caused by light stacking in the lens of the camera.

Peegoo, you can't fan the flames of hysteria using logic and reason. If you want to make money when you see something out of the ordinary, ask yourself, "what would Dr. Phil do?" And then do that.

I have never seen a UFO. But, if I were to encounter ET, I would try to help him phone home.
