When I was a kid, my exposure to Citroen cars was through Matchbox and Majorette toys, and "The Longest Yard" movie. I *hated* them -- I thought they were weird and ugly, and couldn't image why anyone would buy them. But after taking a second look through Youtube, they actually seem pretty cool and unique.
I especially like Jay Leno's older car. It seems a lot truer to the concept. The Demuro car has a lot more technology and features, but they seem kinda shoehorned in.
I don't think I've ever seen a Citroen in person. I think the only French car I've ever actually seen was those old Renault Le Cars, which I also hated. I still those.
My son has seen a Bugatti Veyron in person, though, which is pretty cool.

I rode in one of the big sedans once when I was in high school. The way the suspension behaved when you accelerated was weird. A few years later, I rode around a lot in a friend's 2CV: what a primitive little rattle trap that was. www.automobilemag.com/news/citroen-2cv-history-photos/

I remember seeing the 2CV when I was stationed in England in the ‘80s. Never rode in one though.

My cousin's husband retired from Citroen a few years back. And that's about all I know since the guy is a giant inflatable weenie that I had to give the boot to on FB for trolling my friends.

2 CV.. one of the world's best cars.
One of the most innovative car companies in history.
Luckily Chrysler never touched them.

A friend who collects odd antique vehicles had a 2CV for a bit and I found it a strange looking little car. Over the years he’s owned a lot quite a few “different” vehicles like a teens electric car, ‘66 Lamborghini Miura, and a 1912 FN motorcycle. The 2Cv didn’t stay in his garage for too long.
I saw a lot of early Citroen cars during my 1st Cav tour in Vietnam including the 2CV.

Speaking of French cars, Peugeot is another that is highly regarded. I almost bought a Citreon DS Pallas at one time years ago, but scarcity of replacement parts dissuaded me.

modbus, I agree. I hated them when I was younger but they have somehow gotten cooler over the years. I admired the one driven in The Mentalist TV show.

I worked in Iran 1976-1978 and they built a 2CV copy under license called a Jian. Pretty crappy cars but a lot of my friends drove them because all cars were so expensive there and these were realativly reasonable.

I went to high school with a guy whose older brother won the state lottery for a million bucks. He bought a basket case Citroen and was going to restore it. As far as I know, it never left the garage until the day it was hauled off to the junkyard.

I had a 2013 DS3 THP, which was a fun little car. In my two years of ownership it had some peculiar issues crop up (e.g., the day I got it the driver's seat wouldn't recline), but overall I quite enjoyed my time with it.

Had a 2CV for a few months in my teens, when I was still smoking. Perfect car for the purpose. Goofy flapper windows, one-hand-action convertible top and had a starter crank for emergency starting in the trunk among the standard accessories. But would climb even slight inclines in second gear at best. Vmax downhill @ 75 mph. Only way to drive that vehicle was being stoned, else it would bore you to death. As I was also riding a Triumph Bonneville at the times and couldn't stand the weed slowing me down on the bike, smoking was abandoned, the Deuxcheveaux had to go and a waterproof Barbour jacket was bought from the proceeds. 🇬🇧🏁
