I thought they'd been around under the current ownership for a few years now. They must really be trying to get in with the stoner/doom metal crowd with the 4/20 stuff..

Looks like a powerhouse. Wouldn’t it be nice to compare that big dog with its Marshall, Orange, Bogner, Friedman etc. equivalents.

Looks like a powerhouse. Wouldn’t it be nice to compare that big dog with its Marshall, Orange, Bogner, Friedman etc. equivalents They're clean machines compared to many of those other brands. They're particularly good as "pedal platform" amps, which is a big reason for their resurgence in popularity in the past 15 years or so. 15 years ago you could buy a vintage 4-input Hiwatt DR103 or DR504 for well under a grand, now they're over 3 grand.

I've seen that.
They do bring the Ker-RANG at very high volume.
I won't be buying any from this line. Like I need more amps...

Too big for me. I'm still trying to get rid of my old 4-12's cabinet with Celestions in it. Nobody wants it and I'm not giving it away. I think it's time to sell the speakers outright and use the cabinet as either a planter or a jack stand for when I change the oil on my truck. I don't know if a thrift store would be interested in it or not.
My Twin Reverb is a lot more amp than I need these days. I have a Vox AC15H1TV that's a lot of amp for a bedroom recording studio but it sounds really sweet as does the Twin. I'm too fat and old to play in a big loud rock band anymore and the amps I have will cover any base I will encounter.

I'm not sure what to make of this. I wish them well but one only listings could just be a clearance.
My interest in the T20/10 models has been mentioned before; but I wouldn't buy without hearing one in person. That's not likely to happen as it currently appears to be +/- 800 miles to the nearest dealer. Service locations could be another issue.

Yeah, I remember getting one in years ago and we demo'ed it out in our warehouse. It almost was more like a stack version of the twin/JBLs thing. I wouldn't call it super clean, it was still kinda brash and gnarly, but not distorted either. Pete Townshend really is the best example I can think of.

When the Georgia Satellites toured in the 80s they had a full backline of HIWATTs.
They removed the name plates from the amps and replaced them with HIYALL. Hilarious and effective.
They played L O U D .
