About 50 years ago, when my son was small, he startled me with his artwork. Any surface became the canvas for his creations: freshly painted walls with imaginative swirls of crayons. Bedspreads livened up with energetic finger painting. Even diaper dioramas on the living room carpet. Obviously, the soul of art cannot be contained. And now we have banana art. Anna Chojnicka found that she could create some pretty detailed images, by simply bruising the skin of bananas. Pressure from a blunt point on the skin of the peel yielded pictures whose shading would advance on its own by the banana's natural reaction. I am officially impressed. (She eats her "canvases," so no banana wasted in the creation) twistedsifter.com/2020/12/bruised-banana-art-by-anna-chojnicka/

Regardless of the difficulty of the medium, she's a very talented artist. Those are really cool.

Talented for sure. A shame to turn that work into banana bread.

Wow, such amazing work on a biodegradable medium. I guess art can be very fleeting.

Kinda makes Warhol's Velvet Underground cover art look lame.

I guess art can be very fleeting. You mean, like when that Banksy painting was sold at auction and right after the gavel dropped, the painting shredded itself? GENIUS!
