I first heard about this outfit, which insures musical instruments, several years ago. They have a big ad in "Vintage Guitar" every month. I've considered them, but never pulled the trigger despite hearing good things.
For one thing, they insure guitars as they are being shipped, and the word is that they pay off fast with few questions asked for a guitar stolen or damaged while in-transit. Unlike the worthless shipper's insurance, which will fight you to the death to avoid having to pay.
I've got a nice Martin coming, it will ship tomorrow. So I contacted Heritage on Tuesday, filled out an online application, and had a couple of phone conversations with a very nice lady. Told her I needed to be signed up by Friday to cover the new Martin. "No problem," said the nice lady.
Got a call yesterday, done deal. Paid over the phone. Four guitars covered for pretty much every eventuality, $250/year. Pretty cheap, for the peace of mind, if nothing else. And I won't have to buy insurance for the new one, so I'm already saving money.
Had to laugh- one thing they don't cover is damage caused by a "nuclear exchange." I complained about that (just kidding around). The nice lady said that is because there "would be nobody here to write you a check!"
Anybody else use this outfit? I hate dealing with insurance, but they sure make it easy.

Do you have to let them know which guitar is shipping prior to shipping it?

Not sure, Vibroluxer, but I would call them. They provide a phone and ext. number of your agent, and that agent actually answers the phone. Easy enough.
And if you are a buyer, you could add that new guitar to the list when you call. They want the year and make/model, and the value.

Last fall I sold a couple of high value vintage amps to a vintage dealer in the south. He insured them with Heritage; said it was the only way to go. It was the first time I’d heard of them but, if I were to ship one of my vintage amps or instruments, I’d use them in a heartbeat.
