I was off the internet for a week, just got the news, and I couldn't find any FDP threads, so here goes. Dead at 75 from a heart attack, the only member of Poco to be a band member the entire duration of the band's run. Only saw them once in concert, (with Jimmy M), and Rusty's slide work was one of many high points of the experience. Amazing how he stepped up his songwriting and vocals after Richie left, to help extend the Poco legacy. And with Paul Cotton, kept the name alive (and arguably more pop-successful) in its final incarnation with Crazy Love.
try not to smile!

Poco was better live than on record. I saw them once and was blown away, great live band. And yeah, Rusty was special.

I used to play the hell out of "Legend." Fantastic album.
Matter of fact, I might jump on Amazon and buy the CD. My daughter in Chicago has my old vintage Pioneer rig and all my albums, including a worn-out copy of that album.
RIP, Rusty. Thanks for the music.

All things considered I like Poco better than the Eagles. Rip Rusty.
