Announced, $59 street. For once, I pre-ordered, simply because, well...I've been wanting to screw with a Klon-thing after a good friend and working partner has been abusing a Klone to great effect for NOT blues stuff. delicious-audio.com/tc-electronic-zeus-drive/

I had no idea they were making small/inexpensive pedals.

Yea, they've been doing that for a while now since the Behringer buyout.

I really don't need a 3rd dirt pedal. Heck, I rarely pull out my pedalboard anymore. But for some reason I'm finding myself weak on this one. I wonder how long before they start delivering.

They've missed the "late July" target, and now it's "January/Feb at the earliest." I cancelled my preorder earlier. Saw a review in Premier Guitar, which is why I had expected them to be arriving shortly.

This is the first I'm hearing about this.
That's cheap for a Klon type thing, probably worth it....if they ever actually come out.
I have a cheapo JOYO Klon clone (Tauren), at $48 it's an interesting addition to my collection.

Yea, I was interested because it was proper germanium, but..well...if it doesn't exist, I don't want $$ sitting around doing nothing in the interrim.
That and I filled the "must have" with my germanium Rangemaster/Bee Baa boost section build recently.

Thanks for posting this, Rob. I enjoyed the vids and will be keeping an eye for this pedal, whenever it gets released.

This thread inspired me to dig out my Tauren, that I had pretty much bought, plugged in to make sure it worked, then put it away.
But man this is a great pedal!
If I ever play out again, it's probably got a spot on my pedal board.

… I filled the "must have" with my germanium Rangemaster/Bee Baa boost section build recently. That sounds interesting! Have you got any more info available, eg schematic, sound clips? Maybe a new thread to avoid a high jack.

Arrived today.
Get a 7/16" socket for the input/output jacks - the buffer is switchable on/off. It'll probably sound better (it did to my ears) with buffer on, even in "everything on" mode. be ware of TINY screws.
Sounds FAR better than it should for the price.
I have no idea what a real Klon sounds like in my rig, but this is a very solid lower-drive unit. I don't have many of those (mostly my very dirty treble boosters), and I much prefer it to the standard Tube Screamer etc in that department.
It just makes things sound..better. I wouldn't call it transparent by any stretch, as it colors things (and sounds best even on my LPs with the fat switch on). I don't think I'll be turning the treble knob down from near max or max though - it again, just is better at that point somehow.
The level/gain interaction is pretty huge - gain bumps up output volume a good deal, so you have to trim with the level (or boost if you cut the gain) to maintain unity or near there, or want a specific range of boost.
But honestly, for $69, a damn steal.
I have zero complaints about the sound and suspect while it may not be "always on" it's going to be on a lot.
I haven't gone trying to stack it with things yet (waiting for an additional daisy chain as I'm running it in my studio room versus live room with the big board), and ran it into the simple rig (Boss Re-20 Space Echo and Klark Teknik Pultec clone that I use as a channel strip) and a Boss Katana.
It'll get the hit the Marshall and Deluxe in the next few days, but I usually test lower-gain stuff on the solid states because, well, if they sound good there, they'll ALWAYS sound good with tubes IME.
