Lollar is my favorite pickup but I never picture him looking like a mountain man. lol!

Good video Lefty, a few years ago I had my pickup too close to the strings and it wouldn't tune correctly and made a warbly tone. FDP saved me on that one!

Years ago could not intonate my Fender E strat. went on line to see how to set pickup height on strat. Turned out I had them way too high and close to strings. The magnetic pull was so strong apparently that it inhibited the tuning. I reset them to factory specs and everything was good.

Seen examples of all these problems. This is a good video.
I totally imagine Mr Lollar to look like he does. He's been on a lifetime pursuit of nailing down facts related to mojo which is so often mystical. A cross between Einstein and Gandalf. His pickups do what they are supposed to do.
