I went ahead and ordered one of these plus a matching trem arm. I'll be putting it in my #1 which currently has a Kluson brass block that leaves me with a "meh" feeling. I have a Callaham block in my #2 Strat and think its one of those "sum of all parts" factors that makes that guitar special. But I'm a little confused by this description from Callaham:
"For Enhanced tremolo blocks we suggest one of our three virtual pop-in arms although any 3/16" diameter 10-32 English threaded arm can be used in our blocks. Using our enhanced block with proprietary zero-clearance bushing makes any arm virtually unbreakable."
I thought the "pop-in" arms functioned without threads. Anybody have experience with the design and operation of the enhanced blocks and recommended arm?

I took a look at their page, and you're right...the block description is fairly vague about what "pop-in" means. These types of arms usually have a small neck near the end that is captured by a little spring in the block to retain it when it's pushed in. But then the description says the block is threaded, and goes on to describe how all their arms are threaded.
So I looked at the arms they sell (https://www.callahamguitars.com/strat_trem_arms_catalog.htm), and "The short thread on the Virtual Pop-in Arm is just to keep the arm from being pulled out of the block."
It appears the arm slips in the block into a zero-clearance bushing, and you spin the arm three or four times to keep it in there.

Received and installed. This thing is fantastic! The tonal difference is night and day, like putting on a new set of strings.
Ohh, wait. 😄
But seriously, nice piece of hardware and the pop in arm is cool. The Callaham arm is contoured a little different (straighter), not sure how I feel about that.

Play it a while and you'll get used to it. You can also bend it into a shape you like better...
