After not really practicing hardly at all since March I have started back up. I try and do it everyday but sometimes can't manage that. I can get an hour or more 4 or 5 days a week and that's pretty good for me. Since I started back up a couple weeks ago I can really feel the difference when I sit down to play. I love it when there are noticeable differences, for the better, when I pick up my guitar. The practice is paying dividends. Sometimes that is not noticeable on a large scale and it's difficult to stay motivated.

I have never spent as much time playing/practicing as I seem to wish I had (in ongoing retrospect). Right now I simply wish I could pick up a guitar and doodle around even a little bit. I'm guessing it will be as much as two months before this little finger debacle of mine will allow me to try. Sounds like your story since March has been pretty much my life story ... I really need to do something about that.

I had been practicing daily before March. All Winter long I would spend a couple hours every day. When Spring hit I got really busy with things I had that needed to be done all winter long. Those continued through the summer and I'm starting to get a lot of them finished. That has opened up some time for me.
Larry, I understand your predicament. Perhaps now would be a good time to look into learning more about new techniques or theory you would like to know more about. Even though I hadn't played my guitar much I never stopped looking into finding new ways to approach the instrument. New concepts are something that piques my interest and gives me something new to try. I have been playing for more than 50 years and still consider myself a lifetime student with more to learn than I already know. The musical universe is so vast nobody will ever conquer it.

I am envious. I am having trouble picking one up at all. Soon I hope.
