Coming to theaters October 1st: "Old Henry" starring Time Blake Nelson (who played "Delmer McDonald" in "Brother, Where Art Thou").
Looks like it could be a good'n:

Not one peep out of anybody?
If it's because we're boycotting Trace Adkins for some reason, I never got the memo.
Did he say something insensitive again?

Thanks for the heads up. Watched the trailer. Seemed a bit cliche, but I do like a Western.

Yeah it should be a good one and Tim Blake Nelson has yet to disappoint.
Trace is okay by me.

I enjoy a good western also, and I'll keep an eye out for these.

I'm hoping that at least one of them is good. Last, recently-made westerns that I liked was "Hostiles". Also liked "Open Range", "Broken Trail", "Godless", "The Salvation" and "The Missing".

Have you seen “News of the World”? I thought it was good.

I grew up when westerns were TV. I still enjoy them, I’m streaming Tombstone currently. The dialog is well done, don’t know if it has any historical significance , their writers put some great lines together.
I’d watch it.

I really enjoyed listening to Gunsmoke on the classic radio series on XM radio when I had that in the car.

William "Cannon" Conrad played Marshall Matt Dillon on radio before the TV show ever aired. There is an internet radio program called Hank's Westerns Old Time Radio that I sometimes listen to while on my morning walk. Really good stuff. Jim

I’d argue Hell or High Water was a pretty good recent western.

I used to DL Gunsmoke and the Lone Ranger from a site available through the Library of Congress, but they have moved things around and couldn't find a link. I think the quality and quantity of Westerns shot up after Silverado, and spurred a come back.
