I shared this one on the old board, it remains one of my favorites. Just talking about it now means I will make a batch tonight. Courtesy of Rachel Ray:
Ingredients 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 cup popping corn kernels 2 tablespoons melted butter 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon cumin 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Heat oil in deep pot over medium high heat. Add corn. Cover pot and pop the corn, shaking pan often. Remove from heat. Drizzle with melted butter. Combine spices in a small dish and sprinkle the blend over hot corn*. Serve.
* My own addition, I put the spice blend in a shaker (like the kind you might find parmesan cheese in at the pizzeria), and I sprinkle about a third of it, toss the popcorn in the bowl with a spoon, and repeat a couple times. Otherwise all of the spice is at the top, which tastes great, but then the bottom is disappointing.

I highly recommend it.
I also used the spice mix as a rub on a steak once, I had a hunch it would work well for that. And I was correct.

Will try this soon, or some variation of. This must be for a family! I’ve never eaten the whole bowl in one sitting, if that’s what you mean. Like many things, it’s even better the next day. I will say, though, don’t use more butter than listed. Although usually more butter equals more better, this stuff gets soggy if you over butter it. Totally ruins it.

Made some tonight. Reserved about 1/4 of the popcord for my daughter who doesn’t like spicy. But then used the entire amount of the spices on the remaining 3/4.
By the end, my nose was running!!

I whipped up a batch this evening. It was good with a cold beer.
