Listened to it on the work commute today. I must admit it still very tasty. My favorite Zeppelin album.

Being a resident of Earth for as long as I have, I've pretty much heard everything Led Zep has to say *a lot*. So I rarely even break out their records anymore. But I've been on a record cleaning jag for the past couple weeks and came across a copy of LZ II that wasn't in a MoFi inner sleeve -- so I gave it a scrub and then a spin. It's remarkable how well this record stands up. I won't say it's my favorite, but "Whole Lotta Love" is easily in my top five of LZ tunes.

I actually prefer II over I. It was certainly no sophomore jinx for that record.

I loved LZ II even when I did not like LZ very much at all. Great tunes, great bass lines. Bring It On Home changed my guitar life - learning how to play the main riff was everything to me back then.
I never could stand Whole Lotta Love though...

Yeah - Zeppelin II may be my favorite album of theirs. The lead guitar parts on "Heartbreaker"(although imperfect) kills me every time I hear it!
So many great tunes and playing on that record! (imo)

I still love it. Listening to it makes me feel like I’m 13 again when I first bought it.
