Anymore, "halftime weirdness" = redundancy.

I thought the half time show was vulgar. I don't care if the women's were pretty, it was just vulgar to me. I watched only part of it.

[prurient interest aroused]
Maybe I should get myself a TV and start watching stuff again.

One word describes half time:
T R A S H Y
But I will add that I agree about vulgar and add tasteless and no talent required.
Disrespectful of the audience.
Crotch grabbing would be acceptable compared to this tasteless garbage.
The producers of this crap mis identify the values of the audience.

Thought it was pretty cheap and debase of morals. This is what children today see sad!

Even though though I'm not really a football fan, I did watch the game itself but went and plucked at a bass on another room til halftime was over. I actually would've been more surprised if halftime hadn't been seasoned with generous helpings of pole dancing and pelvic thrusting: that seems to be pretty much par for the course, anymore.

After reading the above comments, I just had to check it out...
I watched the entire half-time show just waiting to be outraged. I'm still waiting...
I'm sorry, but there are far more offensive things going on besides what I just watched.

I don't think I've ever seen a halftime performance. Or a Super Bowl for that matter. I do surf the next day for the commercials.

Pop music has fallen to new lows. All they have to sell is sex because there isn't any real talent in the industry today. It's like talent isn't nurtured to stardom but sexual imagery is. And of course the masses of youth today eat it up because they don't know better...they've never been exposed to real talent.

Does Steven Tyler's daughter sing? I thought they should have had her, since this was SB 54, and her name is 54 in Roman numerals. I guess she was too busy with that new 9-1-1 show.

I'm sorry, but there are far more offensive things going on besides what I just watched. There's probably no event for the entire year that is watched as closely by the network for offensive content than the Super Bowl halftime show, ever since Janet Jackson. It's about as sanitized an event as exists on network television. I think those who were offended might be very easily offended.

They were singing songs from 20 years ago for the most part, weren't they? And hasn't pop music been that way for an incredibly long time? I don't know if the "youth today" are who a Shakira/JLo halftime show was aimed at...

I cringe thinking about my young granddaughters watching that. I went out to the kitchen for most of the “show”.

I wasn't offended, however, I don't think it was appropriate for a national audience. I wouldn't want my daughter watching it or my sons.

Based on the scheduled performers I had no interest to watch the .5x show. I anticipated dancing and skimpy glitter clothing and came back into the room just in time to see the very ending. Seems I guessed right.

FYI J-Lo is 50. She's much closer in age to the Moe's demographic than to The Youths.

Just a thought here.
Skimpy clothing and "grabby" moves are something to hide from our children....
but drive-by shootings, stabbings, beatings, fatal car crashes, armed robberies on video .... these things our children are exposed to seven days a week on the "news," as if they were nothing more than cartoons.

And she’s very talented. As is the other one. But the show was not appropriate for all ages IMO.
