Costco dropped to $2.36. That's 4 cents less per gallon than I paid 2-3 days ago.

Finally! Costco Wichita down .04 to $1.75. It is nice to see some not trying to gouge in emergency situations such as these.

Costco at $2.30 this morning. However, considering the price of oil, much of the country is being ripped off.

And federal gas tax! Our legislature took advantage of the dip in gas prices a few years ago to increase our state gas tax.
Outside of high tax states like NY, CA, CN, etc., Idaho has some of the highest gas prices in the country because there isn't a single refinery in the state (although we are surrounded by them in other states).

Yep. Illinois loves to tax their citizens to death.

Costco Wichita down another .02 to $1.67 this morning. Combined effects of Saudi oil dumping and reduced demand due to Covid19-19. I’ve heard that $.99 gas may be possible in some areas. Love the low prices but sure hope the frackers survive the gas war.

Costco Florence Ky. 1.69 for 87 2.29 for 93. Too bad I still have a full tank This is what gas prices should be in a free market. OPEC and other influences have been keeping oil prices artificially high since the early 1970's.
I worked in the oil industry
Estimates were in 2012, that the Saudis could triple output and still have 300+ years of oil.
I'd post a source but I'm under an NDA.
But hey we could always get oil from Mars

Actually, based on the price of oil these days, gas prices *should* be closer to a buck a gallon.
Our Costco lowered the price during the day another 4 cents and we are at $2.26. What I haven't seen discussed much is that with so many sheltering in place, the demand for gas is declining rapidly. Prices in most areas, I suspect, are going to fall drastically over the next couple weeks. Oil is cheap right now and many fewer are buying.

I paid $2.05/gal today at the local Sunoco.
So we're not supposed to go anywhere, and meanwhile gas-so-leen is at record low prices.
Reminds me of the logic my parents used on us kids when we were tiny curtain climbers.
