Price at Costco has been going down almost everyday. Still $1.59 for Tier 1 87 Octane and $1.99 for Tier 1 91 Octane. I think our state tax is about .20. What we do have is lots of refineries, pipelines and oil fields within a couple hundred miles.

OPEC hasn't been much of a factor in decades, and recent Saudi v Russia events brings that home.
Retailers look at the prices other retailers post in the area as a means of setting their own price.
Consumers do not tend to shop for low prices when the price is going down anyway compared to times when prices are going up. I.E. the Collective Bargaining Power of consumers is negligible.
Home station down at 2.37.9 in multiple decrements in recent days.

And Costco drops another .04 to $1.55 & $1.95. Right on cue.
I’m always looking for the best deal on quality gas.

Average in Orygun is $2.89 a gallon, 4th highest in the country and we do not have a sales tax packed in the price as most states do.

While we were at Costco today, they'd dropped gas another few cents and I topped off at $2.20 a gallon. The Chevron station right across the street was at $2.56. Most local stations are stubbornly keeping the prices in the mid-$2.30's to that Chevron station's rip-off price.

I stopped using Chevron 2 years ago due to prices and now routinely use QT ( Quick Trip)

Went out for the first time in a while today. The local Sheetz was down to $2.20. I can’t remember the last time it was that low.

$2.55/gal regular @ CostCo this morning. That's good for here (NorCal) given the level of state/local taxes that apply (please, don't get me started).

Costco still $1.59 for 87 and $2.19 for 93. My 'stang runs best on 93.
Been the same price for about a week, others in the area are around $1.80 for regular.

The cost of gas is irrelevant here because there’s nowhere to go and I can’t possibly use the gas I already have.

It's a 30 mile roundtrip to town from here and my LLC gets about 15 MPG. We are under house arrest here in Idaho too but we still have to shop, recreate, etc. I imagine you can get much of what you need within a few blocks of where you live. This part of the west and where guys like stratcowboy live, there's an old farmer joke about taking a $10 trip to get a 50 cent part. It's big country out here.

The supermarket is 2 miles away. My office is 14 miles away. Basically everything else is closed. My sister out in Western PA had a 90 minute commute to work, she worked about 100 miles from home. I sometimes have a 90 minute commute if there’s a severe accident, and that’s 14 miles.

I'd go bonkers if it took 90 min to go 14 miles. It usually only takes 45 minutes, 90 minutes means something went very wrong. Right now and in the summer when school is not in session, 20-25 minutes.

Awesome restaurant we went to though, Duke’s right on the water. I grew up in that area (above Las Flores Creek). Chris Polos, a Greek guy, owned the restaurant ( The Sea Lion) that was located at the current site of Duke's. Went to grade school with his kids and surfed the point just south of the restaurant all through junior high and high school. Back during the 1950s, Polos has a huge bull sea lion for promo in a fenced tank in front of the restaurant. PETA would've gotten him shut down for that nowadays.

That would have been cool and yes, shut down immediately today lol. Still remember what I had, nearly 4 years later. Kahlua Pork Sandwich, it was delicious.

I saw $2.19 in New Jersey yesterday, but I’m still over 3/4 of a tank so I didn’t get any.
