News! A Forest Green S500 arrives tomorrow. Used, from GC in Oklahoma. 30 days to return. A bit of a pig in a poke, as their photo was terrible. You'll post pics and a report, yes?

Green guitars are the best.

I “may” effort some photo hosting connection to post pics.
It is beautiful and plays great.

I like the combo of green, black, and white. I’m putting a white pearl pickguard on it.

I'd put a red pearloid PG on it and call it the Santa-Caster.
Yeah, I'm weird.

Hey Steve... What are the dimensions of the body compared to a Strat? To me, it looks the design of the horns is taking just a whisper of inspiration from Mosrite, which is very cool. But maybe it's just my brain trying process an image of a left-handed instrument. What say you?

SteveM, that is a stunning guitar! Is that British Racing Green? And for what it’s worth that black guard makes the guitar. The contrasts of the black guard and white pup covers and binding on the green screams MG or Triumph.

The dimensions are almost identical to strat. The beefier bridge might make it look bigger.
Posted a pic above of the white pick guard, which I prefer.
Really cleanly cut inside. G&L uses a 3/16” spacer to set the initial bridge to body space and then after initial string tuning, to gauge the right distance between the term block and body. Elegant in its simplicity. Proper owner had the bridge blocked with the spacer. After I adjusted it properly, that tremolo is sweet.

The pearl PG works better to my eye, and I always dig seeing green guitars even when they're backwerdz.

I like the pearl white, as well. Eventually, I’ll go chrome on the saddles and drop in chrome locking tuners.

That is a such a beautiful guitar!
I think G&L guitars are just fabulous instruments but I cannot stand the styling of the headstock and trem. It's just too 1970s country & western for my tastes. BUT then again in this case the green finish and trem shape reminds me of a frog. Does anyone else see it?

I'm pretty late to this thread, but I had a 90s era G&L Legacy in sparkle gold that was fantastic. It earned a spot as my main live guitar for a while.
Congrats on the purchase, looks beautiful!
