Mostly play Fender guitars and amps. I'm 71 and have had a guitar since 1964. Got serious in 1975.

That WAS pretty cool indeed!
Getting old ears, I was wondering who Joel Sherman was, then I realized that was the big Fender rig with a high-wattage head and two 15s. A Dual Showman.

Interesting stuff! Thanks for posting.
"Toilex." I hear this often; is it that difficult to say "TOE-lex?" It's like Jaguar: some folks pronounce it as "JAG-wire." Weird.

I always wondered about the backline on the rooftop concert. I could see they were Fenders but that's all. Jim

At one time I lived near a Warwick Electronics TV factory. There was some association between Warwick and Vox. A Warwick employee could order you a Vox amp at about half price. I never took advantage but a lot of people in the area did.

This just came out today. Thought you might enjoy it if you are/were a Beatles fan. I watched it all. Was shocked at what they started with. I thought only people like me in the early days played a (in my case a 5watt Airline Amp) small amps. Guess we tend to think the Beatles always had plenty of money. Pretty thorough with descriptions of major components, power etc.
I liked it but it would bore most folks who aren't gear nerds with an understanding of basic electronics.
I could not believe the tedium he would go into describing each amplifier. That would have been great to know when I was younger and looking for a good amp.
I would love to have a good EL84 amp! Old Gibson or Vox AC30 but can't afford to spend the money at the moment as I am paying off stuff I have recently bought . Thanks for posting it.

I never thought about it until seeing the video that they played Fenders and not Voxes for the rooftop concert.
