Jesse Colin Young, The Beach Boys and CSNY at Mile High Stadium Denver in 1973 I saw the same lineup at (then) Royals Stadium in Kansas City. Probably within a day or two of your show in Denver.
Great show!

JJ Cale. Ottawa Technical High School (in the auditorium). It would have been 1976 or 1977.

1967 - The Who played for our senior day. Had no idea Who they were, and got pretty pissed when Pete started banging his guitar around. Dude, if you don't want it, give it to me...don't trash it!

1971. Aged 15, with some school friends. Johnny Winter on his UK tour. Rick Derringer on second guitar. 38 years later I saw Johnny in the same city with one of the same friends.

Boston 1976. I was 12 and tagged along with my older brother and his friends. I kept my mouth shut as part of the deal.

Does that ? mean you can't remember the third act, or was it the "96 Tears" guy? LOL! No, I'm certain that there were more than 2 acts, but that was a long time ago and I don't remember who else played. Actually, the reason I suggested the "96 Tears" guy was...Chubby Checker and the Dovells recorded for Cameo-Parkway records. I was going to try to jog your memory with other Cameo-Parkway artists (with the assumption the concert was related to that label) such as DeeDee Sharp, the Orlons, and Bobby Rydell. I googled Cameo-Parkway artists and it turns out ? and the Mysterians actually recorded for Cameo.

1st concert was America at the Hollywood bowl, late 70s. You didn't miss anything and this could be one reason why I didn't get an electric guitar until I was in my 40s. The 2nd concert was a little better. Full on Bruce Springsteen with my hot 42 DD girlfriend bouncing around with all the rest of the screaming females. Still didn't buy an electric guitar. Didn't keep the girl, didn't get the guitar. What was I thinking ?

Like HenryJ only the day before, August 18, 1966; The Cyrkle, at Suffolk Downs Race Track near Boston. They opened for the Beatles.
You could actually hear the music when The Cyrkle played. You all know what happened when The Beatles came on; non-stop screaming by all of the girl fans.
My cousin won a contest ticket through our local AM radio station (WHYN) and and I went with my aunt and grandmother to see her off on the chartered bus in stations parking lot.
Several contest winners failed to show and they gave away the few extra tickets they had. So I got s free round trip ride and the show.

Early 80's, Marshal Tucker Band at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, down near Trenton. My friends and waited all day for the show to start and when it finally did, the skies opened up and it was an absolute downpour. Rain lasted pretty much through the whole show.

1972 saw Focus (remember the yodeling song Hocus Pocus) at Shea's Buffalo theater. I was 15 and was kind of surprised my parents let me go by myself. Had a great time; some drug use around me, first experience with that. Various snorting and smoking things were offered to me but I declined.
It was a long time ago so my memory may be faulty, but I could swear the opening act was Rush. What makes me now think it wasn't was they said this was their first performance ever, and the only song I remember them doing was "I've Seen All Good People". The lead singer said they wrote it for Yes but I know Jon Anderson is credited as the writer, so who knows.

7/25/84 Billy Idol (The Cult opened), New Haven Colosseum, Connecticut. The tickets were a present from one of my sisters for my16th birthday. Over the next few years through high school and college I went to more concerts than I can remember, but that one I will always remember like it was yesterday.

Kiss - Richfield Coliseum, Ohio, Sept. 3rd ‘76. Artful Dodger opened. My sister had her license, so she drove us. She locked the keys in the car. We were the last to leave the parking lot by the time security got around to unlocking our car.

Hey RogerD, did your concert also have the Ronnettes, Bobby Hebb, the Remains, and a boring fashion show? The Remains also backed up the Ronnettes (in place of the Wrecking Crew).

The first band I saw who I’d heard on the radio was ? and The Mysterians, in a Legion Hall circa 1967. My first multi-band show in an actual concert venue was The Rolling Stones with BB King and Terry Reid in November of 1969.

henryj, my best recollection is that only 'The Cyrkle' was on the bill for the Boston show as an opening act. At least I do not remember seeing any other groups that night.
Perhaps as only a single show was slated for Boston, and two shows were scheduled for Memphis the next day, logistics might have played a role.

You know, I totally forgot seeing Gene Pitney around 1964 and Jay and the Americans in that same time frame. I remember working a concert with Johnny Tillotson around that period...amazing how you start to forget stuff.
