Yes, I live with the shame of shower mold. Actually, it the pain-in-the-ass of shower mold. This weekend I'll be scraping up moldy caulk and re-caulking our master shower this weekend.
Anyone have any tips or trick as to how to avoid moldy caulk in the shower?

We have the same problem in a downstairs bathroom that doesn't see any sun. I believe anti-mold caulk is the Slick 50 of home improvement.

What also works for problem areas is to keep a little plastic spray bottle filled with 20% bleach solution, and lightly spray the bottom half of the shower (or the problem areas) after use. You can re-purpose a Windex bottle for this, but a better option is a spray bottle from the garden dept at your local hardware store.
Most mold-remover tile cleaning products are this...but they cost 10x the price of simply mixing Clorox with water.

I also use a bleach and water mix to spray grout and caulking. It works wonders.. I do leave it on for a while and find it works best over time.

I had the red slushy stuff. Bacteria I believe. I used the home remedy of dish soap mixed with Baking Soda. After cleaning I use Simple Green Disinfectant.

All good ideas! I like keeping a chlorine mixture available for a quick spray-down.
My experience with caulks is that they are mold-resistant, not mold-proof. But I will read the suggested article on 100% silicone caulk!

Lightly spray down the shower after you step out, and leave it wet. If you track the bleach solution onto carpet it can cause color loss...so always step out, give it a few short blasts, and close the door/curtain.
