Anyone else seeing this? It seems that everyone has some degree of chronic cough these days. I’ve got just a hint of one that’s left over from a sinus infection a couple weeks ago.
A week ago my wife (who rarely gets sick) went from well to bronchitis in 48 hours. I’d never seen her this sick!
Went to the eye Dr. yesterday and one of the ladies at the practice had a nagging cough.
It just seems to be everywhere this year.

A couple of months ago I was feeling bad with a cough. Doctor gave me an antibiotic, I felt better and the cough seemed to go away….for a couple of weeks. Now it’s back and that was a month ago.
It seems to hang on for sure.

I used to get a dry hacking cough every year that lasted a few weeks. Trips to the doc, medicine, etc didn't touch it. One year I got it again. My wife directed me to the doc over my protestations. The xray ordered showed an enlarged thyroid gland (not related to the coughing). Turns out I had thyroid cancer and the gland was removed. So listen to your wife. Glad I did that time!

My wife, daughter, her husband and our grandson's ages 2 1/2 and 3 months old went through it. Luckily I did not.

I suspect that Mrs. Leftee started out with RSV last weekend.
To underscore that opinion, we just now learned our youngest grand daughter has RSV. She’s the grand that lives with us.

I have it too. Mine is caused by ratty sinuses and post-nasal drip.

I have perpetual sinus drainage and a mild cough that goes with it. Anytime I get a cold though, it settles into my chest and I develop a productive cough that won't go away. I'm literally clearing my through about once very couple minutes and pulling up phlegm every time. And that's with taking Mucinex D continuously.
A couple years ago it lasted 3 months. I went to the clinic. They gave me prescription cough medicine and an antibiotic. Cough was gone in about 36 hours. Now, if it lasts more than about 3 weeks I go to the clinic.

My wife and I caught “the flu” as soon as I got to Texas for the winter. My nagging cough resolved after two weeks but her’s lingers on. I suspect it’s because of the pack and a half of cigarettes she smokes every day. She begs to differ while I continue to implore her to quit. Either way, it was a nasty virus and I’m glad to be done with it!

I usually get something like this, almost annually, around Spring. I put it down to hayfever, but it really gives me the irrits, when I just can't shake it....when it hits, it normally lasts for a month, or so...
