I bought an old Gibson 1 - 12 combo amp cabinet a couple years ago to use as an external speaker cabinet for my Vox AC15H1TV amp. I put a Celestion Alnico Blue speaker in it. It sounds great.
The amplifier for the cabinet was toast and didn't come with the cabinet. I decided to make a metal plate to cover the hole in the top of the cabinet where the amp used to be. I had the cabinet out in the shed yesterday while making the panel and noticed there was a spring reverb tank in the bottom of the cab. I took it out and looked at it and it seems to be intact. Now I feel like I should do something with it. I found a couple videos on YooToob and one said I could drive it with a headphone output if the impedance is right. I have to mess with it and see what happens.
