Felt a bit crappy all week. I figured with my days off I'd be getting better. Usually, the creepy crud is turning around for me in about 3 days. This has been a week. Not getting better today and having cold chills. Took my temp and it and it came in at 99.6°. Not crazy high, but enough to give me cold chills occasionally. Decided to go see the Doc. Got me some drugs and Doc says in about a day and a half I should be starting to feel a lot better. I can hardly wait. I'm off again tomorrow then back two new officers on Wednesday. I need this crud gone quick. Edited to add: I am hitting the bed early, Hoping Ifeel a difference by morning.

The crud is real this year. Our D-I-L is an ER Doc at a local hospital. She said the flu and RSV has been quite bad this year.
We (the whole family in the area) just came through the RSV. It was a brutal month!
Hope you’re feeling better soon!

let us know when you are feeling better. Though it's only been about ten ours since I took the meds ... I can feel a difference for the better already. I'm not well by a long shot, but I feel some improvement.

Get well! Those are the two meds I usually get for this kind of stuff.
I really don’t like prednisone! It works but leaves me feeling all edgy and keeps me from sleeping well!

I'm not well by a long shot, but I feel some improvement. Glad you are feeling better. I’m one of the people that prednisone is especially effective for. I usually feel better within hours or taking it, and after 2-3 doses, I feel fine.

Prednisone is highly effective for most people and has worked well for my family and I over the years.

I can't take prednisone or prednisone. Hives, constricted breathing, tunnel vision. So are you feeling better yet?

So are you feeling better yet? In general, yes, I am. The thing is I am also taking Mucinex (expectorant) which causes mucus to flow. I'll continue with that until I get through the other meds. All the soreness in the throat and sinus area is gone. Two more doses over two days ... to go.

Azith hits some people hard, too. Hopefully that is going well for you.
Mucinex did weird things to me the last couple times I tried it, I don't remember what. I have bad luck with side effects of any med - I always seem to get it. Saves me money if I don't keep buying the stuff, I guess.
Lots of crud. I had something a couple weeks ago that left with me with some nasty sinus pressure and a fever around 100. Didn't bother testing for anything - didn't feel very covid-y, might have been something other than a head cold. Fever broke after a couple days, took more than a week for energy levels to return, though. I'd been dodging stuff a lot, so I guess I was overdue to get something.

Me too. Only two antibiotics I tolerate. Meds usually bother my stomach.
