I thought I was reading one of those April Fool articles, you know, where we get lead down a path about alien autopsies and then the big reveal: Gotcha! April Fool! But no. Harvard actually is launching a Taylor Swift course this coming spring semester called, "Taylor Swift and Her World." 300 students have signed up already. Dr. Swift (honorary degree) won't be teaching or monitoring the class, but she will be able to watch similar classes budding all over the place. Stanford, University of Texas at Austin, New York University, and Arizona State will offer Swift classes as well. Turns out this isn't as odd as I thought: there are 6 universities in the US where you can study the Beatles. I expect they cover subjects like The Walrus was Paul, The Tao of Yellow Submarine, Why Pete Best is Bitter, and Yoko Ono: Sonic Weapon. www.scholarshippoints.com/campuslife/schools-where-you-can-take-a-class-on-the-beatles/

Is this course being offered under the umbrella of the Department of Comparative Religions and will it examine both an ontological and an epistemological approach to Taylor Swiftism?

I have a daughter (no pics) who would ace that class. Heck, she could lead it.

Back in my undergrad days at the University of Nebraska, I took a Bluegrass 101 course.
The two instructors were a couple of old hippies. It was actually very good!
