... and the world became just a little bit more surreal.

Kinda reminds me of an Alembic output cable...
Was there sticker shock?
I know there was last time I bought a car battery.

I had girded my loins for the price. Ended up at $250 - which seems about typical for an AGM battery.
I really didn’t know, until today, that Duracell was in the automotive market. I just remember putting about a ka-billion of their smaller batteries in kids toys years ago. 😂

Remember back when you had to top off your car battery once in a while with water (preferably distilled)? And they only lasted a couple years?
They last a very long time now, and require zero maintenance. Sure ain't cheap, though.

It might be the ‘80s when I last serviced a battery with water. I could be wrong, though.
I looked it up, and I see that Duracell has been offering automotive batteries for years. I guess it’s only me that didn’t know that. 😂

One of my former customers was a recycle plant owned by Duracell . They're also into generators, hearing aids, and portable power stations.

From the interwebs... Duracell might be best known for household batteries, but that hasn’t stopped the company from offering car batteries. However, Duracell doesn’t manufacture the car batteries. Instead, East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc. has been responsible for creating the automotive lineup since 2009, but the company has been a leader overall during the past sixty years.

I saw that in my investigations, as well.

I still have 7 deep draft wet cell batteries in my golf cart that need periodic filling with distilled water. It is a chore that I detest, but since it is an odd number there is no inexpensive battery tender system like 6 and 8 battery systems have.
