I’ve got this CD from back in the day. I bought it in a whim and was not disappointed.

I think it "holds up" pretty well.
I went down a rabbit hole listening to Spirit recently, which is how I came across this (via Randy California).
Randy was an interesting guy, who suffered a sad, if heroic ending.

“Luciane” carried me right back to those days.

Randy’s rendition of “Hey Joe” was transformational for me. I love the way it rolls. And by today’s standards his use of such prominent delay would be deemed “wrong.” But I honestly think this rendition wouldn’t’ be nearly as good without it. Listen to how he plays with it and up against it. In other parts of the song it just adds an eerie reverence.
I kinda wandered on from that to my own version of HJ.
And I had to skip to “Themes from an Imaginary Western.” I always loved Lesley’s tone and feel - warts and all. And, back in the day, I wanted a Steinberger with the transtrem.
Some of these song I had played so often that I still remember every note in my head.
