I was at band practice and my guitar player said he liked the lightning bolt strap I was using. I said, "Yeah, I like this one...I've got 4 of them." Him: "You have more than one??" Me: "Yup! Each bass case has it's own strap. I'm so scatterbrained I don't want to remember which case has a strap or not. Then get to band practice, open it up, and see that it's not there!!" Him: "Really?" Me: "You don't??" Him: "Nope."
I think we both walked away thinking the other guy was crazy. So are you like me and have a strap for every guitar, or are you a 'swapper?'

I have a designated strap for each guitar. Every guitar is a little different in the height it hangs so every strap is adjusted for a particular guitar. I don't have any guitars that are duplicates like 2 Strats or 2 Les Pauls. Only one of each. Different strap button locations dictate custom adjustments for each one in order for them to hang at the correct height for me.

Yup. A strap for every guitar.
Sometimes it’s an identical strap. Because they work.
No faff.
Most of mine are almost vintage - 70’s at least for a few of them.

Nope. My collection is a mixed bag of traditional strap buttons, Dunlop and Schallers. These days I rarely (almost never) stand when playing guitar. I have maybe 6 straps, several which I never used, and 17 electrics, acoustics and basses.

Every instrument has a dedicated strap.

When I was gigging regularly, I'd have a rack on-stage with three guitars, sometimes plus an acoustic, each with its own strap, which lived in the cases. I'd also have a spare somewhere. I don't use straps in the house, always sit down. Same for rehearsals.

I keep a strap on each guitar. I have them all on stands or hanging on the wall.

Strap for every one, and use the rubber strap lock things so taking them off is a pain anyway. Even before I used those, every one had a strap. I color-coordinated and dind't want to have to adjust them constantly.

Great question. My issue is I have more guitars than wireless units, so I need to keep the strap when I change between similar guitars.
I have a Les Paul strap, a 335 strap and a Tele/Strat strap. On the odd occasions I use my Vox Phantom or an SG the 335 strap seems to be about right.

Each guitar has it's own carefully matched and curated strap.
And sometimes it took a decade to find the right one !
