Thus far, here on the NorCal coast, we've gotten less rain from this one than I was expecting, but more wind. Personally, we're far enough from the ocean and any creeks or rivers and our property drains pretty well. Given that and the fact that the ground is already saturated, the high winds worry me more than more rain. I'm amazed that we haven't lost power...yet.
SoCal is supposed to get hammered far worse than us by this one.

Gato might be one wet cat about now. Got that right. The wood framing on my garage door is collapsing due to the soaking.

Just checked, and the last round of the AT&T golf tournament at Pebble Beach has been cancelled. Wyndham Clark has been declared the winner after three rounds.
Too bad, my plan was to sit on the couch with a guitar all day Sunday and watch. Then today. But that beautiful course was saturated on Saturday and it rained all day Sunday, with 60 mph wind gusts.
No way could golf be played.

All this rain and no way to capture it. I have a couple of full, Home Despot buckets in my yard now, so don't say I didn't do my part...

We were swamped here in the Houston area last week. Went for a walk at a park yesterday and I felt like I was trying to navigate through a rice paddy field.

Lived in SoCal most of my life. While we do get some rain from time to time, about a foot annually, it is very unusual to have have rain around the clock for a week.

We've got pouring rain and lightning/thunder at the moment.
Any precipitation at this point = instant runoff.
I think tomorrow it's supposed to let up a bit.

Just got power back after a three day outage. Wind knocking down trees/limbs into power lines.

For me there is water, and some mud below the fire areas, but no flooding or excessive intrusive water. so for me a win.

My niece in Lomita (south of LA) had two huge eucalyptus trees come down. Looked like shallow roots. Luckily missed structures.
