The PRS Sonzera did not work out for me. First of all, it is way, way too loud at 20 watts. Secondly, I didn't like the clean or gain sounds. And the reverb was not good at all.
So, I ordered the Marshall. Sorry Leftee, I wanted the head and cab.
Rob, I believe you have this setup?
How is it for bedroom volumes?
Should be here in a few days. Actually, the head is arriving tomorrow. Haven't gotten a date on the cab yet.
Thanks for all the previous advice.

No worries. The amp sold on Reverb a few days ago. I actually made money on it. 😂
I hope this rig works out for you.

You may find the .1 watt is actually most desirable - in a smaller room, I often did. You can also run it !00% no load (don't plug in a speaker cable) and use the headphone out into a DAW.

That will be fun this week waiting for the cab...and I won't hear my wife because she won't hear me! So much better than the PRS Sonzera! Quite the difference.

So much better than the PRS Sonzera! Quite the difference. It's VERY solid on the headphone out - it's got a decent fake cab sim on it (and was and IS very useful for recording as well because of it.). It's why I got it originally - at the $249 original price it was as cheap as some "Marshall in a box" pedals but was a real amp and...I could...then plug it inot the 1x12 and be even happier.

Should note that I like it most as a fake plexi - the 'clean" about 80% of the way up.

The cranked green channel of a DSL is its best feature, IMO. Not that I don’t love the red channel.
The DSL line is well-designed.

The red I like combined with a cranked Fender 6L6, mind you - but on its own, the red channel is...a little fizzy, coming from someone who has more gain than any sane being on earth.

Well, the shipment was delayed. It should be here tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm enjoying playing with headphones. Gotta love the DSL!

I don't know why they don't get more love honestly. These are about the perfect size/weight/sound for basically any realistic need today given that even the worst dive has a modern PA now.

Yep, it'll get stupid loud, which no one believes until ...they hear it. But not enough to make people kill you.

The difference in loudness between wattages isn’t that hard to get once you understand the math. A good place to start (for educating yourself) is the 10db rule.
