Just took the “black licorice” test again. I can sort of taste it. It wasn’t like the “I’m chewing on a gooey piece of nothing” that I experienced last night.
What a great testing method, too.

I’ve also been eating like a horse since I got this. And I lost 2lbs across the week.

I had a pretty active and productive day. The fatigue wasn't too bad today. I just sat down for a few minutes when I needed it.
All in all doing better today than yesterday. Hoping I move past this quickly.

I can’t believe you waited this long but I pray your recovery is short.
I’ve never been tested for Covid but I’ve self isolated twice assuming I had it. Since then I’ve had a few long Covid indicators but nothing close to debilitating.

Sorry to hear, Lefty! Hope you're not doing it too tough...They say that if you haven't caught it, yet, that means you don't have enough friends...I'm, so far a CV19 free zone....I have to do a RAT, 3 times a week, to see my mother in her care facility....

So far I have never gotten it. Everyone else in my family it seems have. Also it seems the latest form of Covid is not as bad as the initial one in 2020. Hope you get to feeling better soon Eric!

Feeling even better today. Drainage comes and goes. That's a weird thing.
I still test positive. To that end I canceled the week's trip. I don't think it would be responsible of me to fly hours in planes or spend a few hours with a couple other guys in a pickup truck driving across the continental divide - even if I were to wear a mask.

we had a scare a few weeks ago... my wife had been coughing hard with a fever for several days and went to the Dr. he said she had covid but sent her for tests. they did covid and flu, both negative. he was sure she had it. took a test a week later and still negative.
her cough is deep and nasty sounding, low fever. she's taking antibiotics and tylenol. getting better.
i was concerned, but i haven't had any symptoms. they think hers is bacterial. my question, how have i NOT gotten this? going on 3 weeks and i'm in contact and exposed 24/7.

Yes, does sound like it is bacterial michael. Several family members and friends have gone through this including my wife but I have not had it thank goodness. Seems tough to get rid of.

The licorice tasted even better tonight.
I must have had the world’s shortest loss of taste.

The test doesn’t involve a mountain of licorice.

Wow, that's amazing (that you just got it now for the first time). I have admittedly been somewhat cavalier I guess, but once the vaccines came out we decided we were going to live our life without letting it affect our decisions. We go to beer fests, have kept and used our season tickets to Hawkeye football games, go to concerts, etc. Basically don't try to avoid crowds and do what we want to do socially.
We've also stayed up to date on the vaccine with follow-up boosters when recommended.
With that I've still had covid 3 times.
Fortunately for me, the symptoms have been pretty much non-existant. The first two times, I only knew because I took a test when notified that I'd been exposed. Otherwise I would have had no clue. The third time I had super mild cold-like symptoms and took the test just in case (didn't want to expose a bunch of people if I could avoid it).
I have concerns about "long covid" but I can't justify hamstringing my life in fear.
I hope you have a full recovery.

Except for a slight cough, I’d say I’m over it. I came out of this pretty well.
It definitely was something I’ve not had before. Different from anything I’ve experienced before.

Glad to hear this Eric! Covid is worse for some more than others. I believe people who are vastly overweight, has medical issues etc have a worse time with it.
