I found deals on these, today, so I did the deed. The videos I found sounded most excellent.
Really looking forward to these! More to report next weekend. I'm traveling, this week, so I won't be here when they arrive.

Cool. I wondered recently what Laney was doing these days. I was interested in a Laney combo (LC 30?) several years ago, but never pulled the trigger.

I remember those. Sort of the Laney version of the AC30 wasn’t it? I had a LC15 for a brief time.
I’ve always been enamored with the old Laney Supergroup. I figured this would be my time and amp.

Sort of the Laney version of the AC30 wasn’t it? There was an LC30 and a VC30. I'm not certain, but it might make sense that VC would be the Vox influenced model. My memory is that both sounded good; but I preferred the LC for some reason. |

Very nice looking amp! My only wish is on the demo they would play some clean in addition to overdriven so I could get a full sense of what it can do. Anyway I love the looks of it.

Welp... they refunded my on the cab. Turns out it was out of stock when I ordered it.
I've got a Mojotone oversized 2x12 loaded with Jensen Nighthawks I'll use. I suspect those will sound awesome with this amp.

I made a pass at one, locally, a few years back. The seller and I couldn't come to agreement. In retrospect, I wish I would have bought it.

It showed up today in fine shape.
It's a great looking specimen and everything works as it should. It really has that Supergroup tone, from my limited expereince. I'd add, "at lower volume" but, up close, it's VeRy loud.
It has a lot of bass available and I found that, cranking it, I preferred the bass turned back around 2 or 3. The tone controls are quite responsive.
It really grinds, cranked, with that dark doom-rock sort of thing going on in spades. And it cleans up with the guitar volume quite well.
I did find that, IMO, the Blackhawks are not the speaker these want. A little too upper-mids peaky. I have a pair of 16 Ohm Texas Heats arriving tomorrow. Those are my go-to "I don't know what speakers I want, so Texas Heats it is!" speaker.
The amp does this particular English voice nicely. 😎

Finally had some time with the THs today. Much better!
This amp has some serious bass. I don’t think I have another amp with that big a bottom end available. It rumbles.
