I just passed my 6 month probation at my new job and it got me to thinking how I've come full circle in my career. To recap, I was remarried last May and it required that I relocate. I liked my old job but couldn't keep it. So, I found a job doing what I did in my 20's, but making more money than ever. Here's my list...

Real Estate Sales Rep (between jobs) - 45

I couldn't tell ya. Aside from a short stint at a small mfg shop I spent the bulk of my working days at the same entity and all of its spinoffs. Let's see.
Branch Support (BS) Branch Support Specialist (BSS) Branch Support Senior Specialist (BSSS) (That's a lot of BS)
Customer Engineer (CE), (that was a forced changed by corporate because we weren't engineers) Customer Support Rep (CSR) Customer Support Senior Specialist (CSSS), which turned into acting Field Manager (FM).
After 34 years, 5 company name changes and acquisitions I ended up with Canon. On the first day of orientation with them, I learned my fate was as a regular field tech with a tool kit. No idea what acronym was assigned to me. I sat in a room with a video explaining several Japanese work discipline words. I looked around at my weary compadres who made the migration and suddenly Forrest Gump popped into my head, the scene where he finally stops running. "I'm kinda tired, I think I'll go home now". Within an 8 month period I had a tooth abscess, suspected pneumonia, diverticulitis and my gallbladder removed. 26 doctor appts, ER trips, radiology, cystoscopies, colonoscopies, surgical consults and procedures. On 8/19/2013 I walked into the office and unceremoniously quit. Moved to Florida where I got my current title, WS (Wife Support).
