The day that shows up every 4 years because somewhere down the line, somebody got their math wrong. Or, we, for some reason are supposed to be leaping around on this ‘special’ day. Is there a special function for this day like ‘Pie in the face day’? Maybe the time guardians should be on the math to correct this anomaly to eliminate this day by making the second just a smidge longer? We probably wouldn’t even notice except for the elimination of this day. Is this day in the same useless category as ‘daylight savings time’ ? Or, do you use it for a positive reason like a reset of something?

I thought this would be a great day to relax and sip a couple of Bloody Marys to start the day off. When you're retired you can do things like that.

Also when you're retired, you come up with threads like this one. It's like the stuff you never seemed to have time for when you were working.

I look at it as a bonus day to gain more weight by year end.

I think the day is an attempt to hide a tear in the space/time continuum, one that if the populace were to find out would destroy the fabric of human existence. Apparently mandated first by Julius Caesar in 46 BC, (coincidentally after spending time in Egypt), it was the "architects" of the pyramids who enlightened him as to the reasoning.
I'll say no more.

Friend of mine got married on a Leap Day back in the late '90s.
They celebrated their 7th anniversary yesterday.
