My beloved '16 LP High Performance wine red Gibby, with Granadillo fretboard and actual MOP inlays and all sorts of weird specs. But...I love the grain, never been a cult of burst guy...but..this always moves me.

Original reason I picked it was the 'imperfection' on the top. I loved the pseudo-matched 'flaws' - reminded me of vintage furniture.

I’m a grain guy too, as evidenced in my fentanyl experience. 😂 That is an outstanding grain on that neck. My favorite grain is Canary - show here on the fretboard of this build.

Thanks. That’s the prototype body shape for “my” guitar. I cut that body myself. It’s extremely comfortable. But that fretboard really took the guitar to a higher level.

I think wood looks great, even if it isn't a high fallutin' expensive cut. Even plain ol' pine is nice looking if it is stained and/or finished right.

Wow, pretty one!
Your fretboard looks pretty much mint and unplayed. I really like Granadillo fretboards. My number one live playing Lester has one and it has turned from orangish to very dark over the last 12 years of playing it. You'd swear it was Brazilian rosewood now. Great feeling from day one too.
Poker chip is pretty cool too. And the speed knobs with the little indents really dates it, since they were only around for a very short time and are pretty rare. Sometimes they show up in the Mod Shop guitars.
Nice Axe!
