Arrived Wednesday from Wildwood and I did the 24 hour acclimation. Patience my precious. It’s everything I wanted from an HSS S-style: Stratty neck and middle position single coils and a bridge humbucker that has just the right amount of bark; stainless steel medium jumbo frets on a rosewood board; C-carve neck; vintage trem system; locking tuners. Just about perfect fit and finish. 7.65 lbs so it has a nice unplugged resonance and carries nicely for me. Came in a nice gig bag. Maybe what sets it apart us Suhr’s noise cancelling system. No 60 cycle hum detected on clean to crunch settings but there is some white noise with higher gain distortion. It was set up almost perfectly with Ernie Ball 10s - just a slight bit of buzzing but easily adjusted. Maybe the only downside is the trem arm is set with an Allen wrench - I would have preferred the little knob at the base of bridge. Strings are strung through the bridge underneath so we’ll see how that works. I put her to work already on a backing track for “Lights” - every cover band must do this tune right?😉 Suhr Classic S Antique just opened by Untitled by NGD Suhr closeups by NGD Suhr closeups by NGD Suhr closeups by

Yep - looks like you have a winner there Mark. John Suhr makes a great guitar. 👍

Suhrs are great. A lot of superstrat guitars seem like they aren't even the sum of their parts a lot of the time, but Suhr manages to go a step beyond. They're well made and hard to put down.

I've not owned or played a Suhr - although lefties abound. 🤔

Thanks guys. The single coil pickups are hotter than my other Strats. I could stay on the neck position all day.

Does your new axe have Buzz Feitan tuning ? Both of mine did and I thought it was very cool.

No, mine has the standard nut and fret angles. Interesting thought though. Perhaps you're thinking of a multi-scale guitar? The Feiten set-up only has a shortened distance between the nut and first fret (via a "shelf nut" or cutting the fretboard correctly at the time of building) along with a different system for intonating. Cool guitar by the way...
