when I drove home at 2:30 AM. Now it's broad daylight, at 6 AM, and we're still two months away from the solstice.

I'd enjoy experiencing the long summer days you folks get up there. At least once, anyways. The long winter nights, not so much.

When we had our place in northern Ontario we were still in the eastern time zone (just east of Thunder Bay). Aside from the emergence of black flies I loved mid June up there. Watching the sunset at 10:05 pm from out on the lake, faint glow in the western sky near midnight and 4 or 5 hours later off to the east.
