Bird Flu now in US chickens and beef. Some European countries are refusing American beef. Are we taking this threat seriously enough. We eat a lot of chicken and I love beef. If they become unsafe the best scenario I see is huge price increases in safe product, worst is major plague and loss of food sources. Am I panicking too soon? I feel like we don't take proper care of our environment and worry that we are doing the same with our food sources. Look at what we are doing with sea food ala Mercury. What say you all you guys ?

Mercury in sea food is an issue as Mercury just builds up in our bodies over time. I do not know enough about the Bird Flu to comment though.

I thought almost all birds flu. Made me think of the old Beatles song, "I'm Looking Flu You."
