....without "unwinding" it? I have a sweet tooth and absolutely love a morning pastry (doughnut, kolache, danish, cinnamon roll...I love 'em all).
When easting a cinnamon roll, I tell myself "I'm just gonna eat this straight up....no unrolling", but I always end up unrolling it and eating from the outside in.
How about you?

I rarely have one but when I do I'll disassemble and eat in chunks. I may even use a fork and knife to prevent sticky fingers. I also have a sweet tooth but typically not in the morning.

Haven't had one in forever but they're great warmed up.

It is wrong to eat one without unwinding it first.
And it must have lots of pecans.

Nothing worse than a cold and stale cinnamon roll 😩

About 15 years ago, there used to be a place at the local mall called Cinnamonster. I've never understood the success of cinnabon because cinnamonster absolutely smoked them in every way. Hot, gooey, sweet cinnamon goodness topped with a butter infused frosting. They were so freakin' good. Alas, they went out of business (our local one anyway).
I was traveling and hit the cinnabon in Ohare...figured it had to be pretty good as it was more famous that cinnamonster...nope. Not. Even. Close.

The middle is like the dessert of the pastry.

I love cinnamon rolls but haven’t had one in quite a while due to diabetes. I used to unroll it but don’t like sticky hands and typically eat if with a fork now.

I eat them differently depending on the setting. If I’m in an eatery I’ll act civilized and use a fork. Anywhere else I usually unroll it as I go and then lick my fingers!

Sometimes, I think I want to use cinnamon roll dough as a cheesecake crust.
Maybe one of these days I will do that...

Sporting facial hair, stuffing a whole cinnamon roll in my maw isn't a good look.

I also sometimes use a fork. That, however, does not preclude unwinding them as you eat.

There is nothing quite like the bliss of a fresh cinnamon roll with a great cup of coffee.

There is nothing quite like the bliss of a fresh cinnamon roll with a great cup of coffee. We have a contender at a local grocery store. They make croissants, but fry them instead of baking them, then glaze them like a glazed doughnut. Absolutely sublime.

I have a hybrid approach where I eat the outer layers first, not technically unrolling but accomplishing the same thing. Then I eat the core, which to me is the best part.

I was at some training for work a number of years ago and they had cinnamon rolls for breakfast (far more than the class could eat). A couple guys grabbed like 3 each and removed the outer layer to eat just the core. Not sure why, but it kinda pissed me off.

I got kicked out of an "all you shouldn't eat" place on tour once for eating NOTHING but the fried breading off of chicken breasts. I had a metric pile of them on my plate uneaten otherwise.
