Sometimes when I can't find something I need, I look down, and there it is.

Pffft, I learned that a long time ago. Problem is, I can't seem to learn to check my hands before looking at the floor.

Your glasses are on your head.

If they’d repeal the law of gravity that would be great for us old guys.

"If they’d repeal the law of gravity that would be great for us old guys."
I don't know, man...I think that would simply present us geezers with a whole new set of problems:
Help! I'm floating and I can't get down!
Jazzguy, I've lost count of the number of times I've looked for my glasses...while I'm *wearing* them.

But it is so much easier to find your glasses when you’re wearing them.
I can’t see without mine.

Pffft, I learned that a long time ago. Problem is, I can't seem to learn to check my hands before looking at the floor. I hear ya. The worst was walking into the kitchen to ask my wife Carol if she had seen my phone and she said "It's in your hands"

I'm just the opposite. I'm 6' 6" tall and tend to put things up where I can see them. An old roommate I had once said that if I had ever had anything, and he was looking for it, he always looked on top of things and would usually find it.

I couldn't tell you how many times I have been doing something (in the presence of others) and I drop something I've been using or something falls to the floor. I carry on as though nothing had happen.
Someone in the room will instinctively bend down to pick it up … Presumably thinking I did not notice.
My response … "Leave it there, if it's on the floor it can't fall".

Too many times, when something hits the floor, it's just gone. Like, vanished.

Sometimes when I can't find something I need, I look down, and there it is. Sometimes when I can't find the tone I'm looking for... I look down and ...
I put the amp on the floor, and there it is. Always amazed on how the floor, with whatever "medium" oak floor, carpet, cement etc can effect the tone structure of the amp.
Litterally can change the complexity of the amp
