Like I needed another bass... I’ve been a big headless fan for years. In the past I had a Steinberger XM2A, and currently have a pair of Steinberger Synapse 5s (fretted and fretless) and a Kiesel AW5. I’ve been interested in multiscale bass for years, but they aren’t the type of thing you commonly find in stores - especially fives. Kiesel started offering them, but $$$ - plus the way I’d want it would make it ineligible for return. Ibanez is a brand I’ve never owned. They recently introduced a line of headless multiscales that looked interesting, plus they could be had at retail with return privilege. So, I preordered a fancy-pants one from Sweetwater back in March which finally arrived last week. I have to say it is *very* comfortable to play, and it is taking next to no time to adapt to the multiscale part. It’s light and extremely well balanced. Plus it’s pretty as hell - I wasn’t sure how I’d like the “modern” finish, but it’s very attractive. One of these in this finish: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/EHB1505MSTSF--ibanez-bass-workshop-ehb1505ms-tropical-seafloor-flatTotally unlike my usual basses, but I’m having fun!

Wowwwww that is beautiful. I didn't know Ibanez is making multiscales!
I've been following Lee Sklar's new YT channel for a few months, and he often plays a multiscale Dingwall.

Looks good
Is the radial fret design easy to adapt to ?
Have you missed the target fret asometimes ?

It’s proving to be very natural - I expected to be clamming all over the place, but I haven’t missed a single note yet.

Cool bass! I really like that color with the burlwood. Glad you're happy with it.

Yeah, panga-panga is almost indistinguishable from wenge and a lot more fun to say. Open pored waxy wood. It feels great under the fingers and thumb, I had a Warwick with a solid wenge next years ago.
