During these strange days, it's been fun to hear different artists doing some "remote" or "quarantined" music, both old and new.
Here's a nice tune from Steve Winwood that popped up on my feed yesterday. Not hard to play.
Now The Green Blade Riseth
1. Now the green blade riseth, from the buried grain, Wheat that in dark earth many days has lain; Love lives again, that with the dead has been: Love is come again like wheat that springeth green.
2. In the grave they laid Him, Love who had been slain, Thinking that He never would awake again, Laid in the earth like grain that sleeps unseen: Love is come again like wheat that springeth green.
3. Forth He came at Easter, like the risen grain, Jesus who for three days in the grave had lain; Quick from the dead the risen One is seen: Love is come again like wheat that springeth green.
4. When our hearts are wintry, grieving, or in pain, Jesus' touch can call us back to life again, Fields of our hearts that dead and bare have been: Love is come again like wheat that springeth green.
(If you recognize the tune, it's an old French carol also used for "Sing We Now of Christmas".)

Nice.
I've been working on this one. "If I Needed You" by Townes van Zandt.

Great tune, Ragtop - haven't heard that one for awhile. I think maybe there's a version by Dylan that I'm familiar with (but Dylan's stuff isn't on You Tube, so I can't confirm that at the moment...I have it on a CD somewhere...). I know lots of folks have recorded it...

Great chords, great melody, great story. Can't go wrong with this classic:

Peegoo, I'm thinking--hoping--those ladies were well-rehearsed, especially the driver. Distracted drivers make me nervous! But it was good enough for me to know that the song was second nature to the singer/driver.

Peegoo, loved that song Brandy that came out when I turned 20 years old. The modern take was decent. Lefty Rev, wow, Molly and Tommy were really good

Another nice tune from Tommy that isn't over the top (might try to learn this one):

Tommy's Angelina is a nice tune, as well (looks to be in Drop D):
