Howdy and welcome to my first thread on MT2.0!
I have a Fender PR263 that was retrofitted to original 6G15 specs in 2004 by Vintone, Pompano Beach, Florida. The unit was brand new when I got it, but, I can't remember if I purchased and then shipped it to Vintone for the mod or if I purchased it directly from Vintone. A search on the web yields no hits for Vintone FL and there is no address or phone number on the Vintone-supplied tube chart so I can't just try to call them for information.
The controls on this particular unit are Dwell-Tone-Blend which is different from the typical Dwell-Mixer-Tone on all of the reissues I've seen, which also matches my original '63 unit. This is without question a Fender product. My question is: Did Fender alter the control layout and labels for any years of the reissue or is this most likely a custom control plate installed by Vintone for the mod? If so, why the altered control layout? Any thoughts?

I wonder, could they be related:
But, maybe not.

These are not exactly common, but the ones I've seen have DWELL, REVERB, TONE.
There are several companies that have been named Vin-Tone. Vince Cunetto (collaborator with the very early iteration of the Fender Custom Shop) started his own company with that name.

Thanks Jim W that explains it! Vintone used its own "Outboard" control configuration on the mod of a Fender reverb unit. Interesting that the original control panel was discarded and the replacement labeled as "Fender Reverb" just like Fender's reverb units.
Hey Peegoo, Vin-tone helped me identify a Jensen Vibranto speaker many years ago. He was both knowledgeable and kind. Definitely two different companies though.
