It does sound amazing. I think if I had to have one I’d wait and snag a used one.

It does sound amazing. I think if I had to have one I’d wait and snag a used one. Agreed... $1800 that's a pretty expensive amp... Mesa... Mesa Boogie or just Boogie often sound great... but like Peavy, being a modern amp, certain designed can be an absolute nightmare for an amp tech to work on. (So I have been told) That's been my sense of tribulation with modern amps in general... Which I think as I pause to reflect... isn't really warranted. Also ... There are places you don't want to take expensive amps that can't be replaced. One of the best local guitarist I know has been using a Peavy Classic 30 for about two decades (the version that had the rectangle logo plate ... that should date it) The logo fell off and being tweed... I always thought the amp was a 5e3 because it sounds amazing. He dimes that little bugger, works his mojo with the volume knob. Never has had a lick of issues with the amp... go figure. I gigged a HRD II for years never had an issue, (currently have a HRD III ... same no issues... or I should say... have not given me anymore issues than my vintage or hand wired amps.

My philosophy on music gear is if you can truly afford something you want, buy it. You really should try it first, though. Go to a local dealer and test it out. If you can't do that find out if Sweetwater has a trial period where you can send it back. Please, none of that "fools and their money" BS. If you're thinking that, you can't afford it. This is your passion (hopefully). You only live once.

Very impressed with the tones on this one! Would love to have a trial run with this amp!
I'll have to talk with Sweetwater! Thanks
If it's right? It's a done deal!

So, I've thought about it long enough and pulled the trigger. It's a demo with a decent discount!
Should be here by Thursday.

I'll just go ahead and review the amp on this thread.
It arrived a day early around 3ish and I started playing it after looking it over. I like the tones, but I think the speaker needs some time to break in and loosen up!! Just sounds stiff. Hope that changes soon, lol. I do have some other speakers to try that I know are well broken in.
It's a 40 watt Jensen Blackbird speaker in the amp as opposed to the 100 watt I've heard they initially shipped with. Some one said it was a cost cutting move?? Don't know.
It takes pedals well but not planning to use a lot. A delay/reverb(?) in the effects loop and a drive in the front is about it. The reverb in the amp is over the top imo so, I keep that backed down.

😎
I like the Jensen Jet series. Beat on it a while and see what you think.

I like it! Looks like a great amp but now at $2400 is too high for my pocket book.

That's a sweet demo. The amp is too rich for my blood, but very nice!

I know the money is over the top.
But, It's worth it to me! There are tones I'm trying to find besides the ones they have listed. Actually, my SV20C and the Boogie are fun to switch between!!
These two amps were always in use at the last Jam.
