In my area (SE MA) last summer (starting in July) things opened up for the most part as far as performing went at outdoor entertainment venues.
In September/October things transitioned indoors (clubs/restaurants) and have held-up so far.... I've indoor-club-gigged twice this fall and, to the best of my knowledge, no Covid outbreaks have occurred at these venues.
FYI: I arrive at the gig, set up, play, and keep to myself (go read in the car) during breaks..... I have my vax plus booster....
The band that I am currently playing with has another gig in early January (at a place we gigged in Sept.)....... I am not quite sure how things will be (Covid-wise) at that time....
I might bow-out of that one......
Thoughts?

my 2 weekly gigs started back up in March
Our Friday night gig is in a small bar w/ a lot of people so we wear masks from the time we walk in to when we leave [I take mine off to make announcements and the singer when she's singing but they go right back on when we're done [sometimes she forgets to put it back on so I'll reminder her] our Sat gig is in a bigger bar and we're set up away from people so we don't wear masks [we're all vaccinated though]

....I'm responding to my OP -lol. Well, December was an excellent performing/gigging month for me: 9 Holiday concerts (8 of which were pd as they were Union orchestras)...with three paid rehearsals.....
...now..... with the new Variant my January 1st gig has been postponed to March.......... Oh no..........here we go again?
I was going to wood-shed on my horns this afternoon but the wind has left the sails.......... I gotta keep my head in the game......
I may need a support group for muso's that don't have gigs.......

I did bow-out of the January gig plus another one with the same band in February. Both of which are at crowded clubs.......
