Due to the congenial environment, coming here feels like being a member of a Cover Band of Brothers. Another sincere "thank you" to Mike for facilitating the smooth transition to this relaxed and relaxing atmosphere. Given the unforeseeable and untimely arrival of COVID, with its corrosive contribution to the current, general, social disfunction, MT2 couldn't have come about at a more fortuitous moment! Cover Band of Brothers. I like this. I think COVID was a part of it, brand new site and plenty of people home with time to kill. I still think we would have survived and thrived, but COVID made it easy.

I think COVID was a part of it, brand new site and plenty of people home with time to kill. I still think we would have survived and thrived, but COVID made it easy. I wasn't trying to minimize your accomplishment or suggest that the site wouldn't have been successful during "normal" times. I was more trying to point out that it's really nice to have such a congenial refuge available during a time when, largely due to COVID fear/isolation among other things, stress levels are elevated, tempers are frayed and societal civility seems to be on the decline. I know I self-medicate with a six-pack of MT2 on a regular basis...

^ Didn’t take it that way. First because I really didn’t do very much. Second, it’s the strength of this community that kept the place together. I think had COVID not happened, some percentage of the crowd would’ve reconsidered and maybe wouldn’t have come over. I’m sure that there were some people who were borderline and the lockdown helped them.
Other mistakes were made that may have held down the membership in the beginning, but the core came over and I’m glad we kept things rolling.

Has it been almost 2 yrs already? Hard to believe. Glad to see things are still rolling along nicely. Good group here. Always nice to pop in to see how things are.

Awwww, Moes 2.0 is 2.0. If I haven't said it before, thank you Mike for taking the ball and running with it. I'm very glad you stepped up.

^ Anyone could’ve done it, the fact that this place thrived is due to all of you guys, not me. But I’m happy to have been of service.

Not really Mike. A person with different motives and temperament could not have done it. Sometimes it takes a while, but eventually things fail ... specifically because of the motives and temperament of the owner/manager. And I'll leave that, at that.

fact that this place thrived is due to all of you guys, not me. But I’m happy to have been of service. And this is a good point as well. With the group of people populating this site it would require a powerful negative force in order to fail. What you offered is a willingness to take the reins combined with a refusal to allow such a negative force to exist. And with that in mind, I'll be in touch via another venue.
