Positive Grid has a sale right now for most of their products. I just ordered the Bias Amp and Bias FX 2 Pro bundle for about $150 usd. This is apparently not offered through distributors so you need to go to their website to take advantage of the sale prices. Once I’ve got it up and running and played with the software plugin, I’ll report back in the Recording forum. 😉 www.positivegrid.com/

I've got those. Fun software! How are you liking them?

It took awhile for me to get it working right in my Reaper DAW. Several things that are different from normal track recording workflow through my Focusrite Clarett AI: (1) Set the track monitoring in Reaper on (2) Arm the track in order to hear the plugins (3) Set the input monitoring on the Clarett off or you’ll hear both your guitar dry signal and the plugin sound Also, select the amp in Bias FX; don’t have both Bias Amp and FX inserted in the track.
Good: Pretty good amp models and IRs, especially the Celestion IRs. I really like the cleans and glassy models, especially the Matchless and Dumble cleans. If you’re not satisfied with the amp model or settings or effects after you’ve recorded a track, you can go back into the plugins and change them (reamping on the fly).
Bad: The hoops you have to jump through just to get a track started. The models and effects are comparable to those on my Ampero multi-FX unit, so it’s easier to just plug in direct with the Ampero. There is also a hint of latency but I haven’t really looked into dialing in the right buffer size and sample rate yet. This is slightly annoying and I’m wondering if fast tempo tracks will have this show up on playback. The software seems to connect online so I’m wondering if the computer CPU is taxed with several tracks running the software. Also, what happens when IP goes down? And finally, the notifications that show up every time you go into Bias FX - so annoying. But I’ve not looked into turning them off (if there’s a way).
Edited to add: I noticed when I mistakenly added an effect and then removed it from the plugin signal path, the overall volume noticeably decreased and it sounded muffled as well. Not sure if this is a known issue. My work around was to remove Bias FX and then reinsert it in the track. I’ve only played with this for a couple days now. Will probably make some recording samples and post in the Recording Forum.

I agree that there is a lot of hoop jumping. And I haven't figured out to get FX and Bias AMP running on the same track, but I'm not fussy. And I'm sure I'll figure out eventually.
My only major complaint is the notifications. I really hate that. I bought the damn software, already. Leave me alone!
